The “You Can Too!” Valerie Good Generosity Grant.

Valerie Good was an amazing FLTR customer who made a difference in Langford Village just by showing up.

What it cost her was the price of 2 cups of coffee and an occasional cake. Val came for coffee, but she gave away a whole lot more. She regularly engaged other Langford residents always offering an interesting conversation and a listening ear. We believe sometimes the simple things we do can have a great impact in the lives of others. We’d never want any of our friends or neighbours to think they couldn’t achieve the dreams to make a difference because they can’t afford it. We’d like to encourage you to think, “I can!”  If Valerie can, you can. 

Do you have a dream of how you can make your corner of the world a better place? Do you just need a bit of funding and encouragement to help you make it happen? We’d like to help you believe that you can, so you will. FLTR Coffee was built on the idea that we would invest our profits into the dreams of people. We have been setting aside a fund to allow us to kick off this grant scheme. Here’s how it will work:

Each year in April FLTR Coffee will collect grant applications to a deadline. Once applications are received,  a select board of people will sift through the applications and determine how much we are able to invest into each project. Recipients of the grants will be notified by June.
